Properties and uses:
The Heuchera 'Obsidian has superb dark purple nearly black, glossy foliage. It forms thick, ground- covering cushions and it is enhanced by a cloud of small flowers in June-July. Grown in flowering beds with other Heucheras which have lighter foliage, such as the Heuchera 'Caramel' or the Heuchera 'Berry Smoothie, it will lift their lighter colours.
As a rule we require 6 Heucheras per m². At the end of winter, it is necessary to cut back its foliage so as to encourage the appearance of numerous new leaves.
