Characteristics and uses:
The Double Late Tulip 'Carnaval de Nice' offers a large, rounded, double set of petals, like peonies. These flowers can be found from April to May and are appreciated in bouquet. The Tulip features white petals with bloody red stripes, and thick, green leaves with fine white margins.
Plant the bulbs from September to December, in a sheltered location, in a well-prepared soil, point up, every 10 cm and 10 cm deep. Cover with peat to protect from extreme cold. Easy to grow in containers, in beds or rock gardens. Plant in groups for intense colour effect. In case of dry autumn or winter, some watering will be needed to guarantee the good development of the roots, thus a good blossoming.
