  • Description
  • It is an ancient, late, and hardy variety originally from the North of France.
It gives a giant root of 20 to 30 cm long!
The flesh is orange red, tasty and very fragrant.
They can be kept a long period during winter.
Little extra: this variety is not overly sensitive to carrot fly; the leaves are very fragrant.

Type of soil: Deep, light, and rich. Preferably sandy.
Sowing time: From March to August.
Harvest time: From July to December.
    Site: Full sun.

    Sow directly into the ground:
    - Sow in rows 1 cm deep and 40 cm apart. Cover with sand or light soil.
    - Thin out one month after growth, keeping one seedling every 5 to 8 cm.

    Care:
    - Hoe and water lightly and regularly.
    - Sow with radishes, this way you will have a double crop, and you will protect the carrots from pests like spider mite.
