Properties and uses:
The Monstera pertusum or Monstera deliciosa, also known as the ‘Split-leaf philodendron’, is a luxuriant houseplant. This variety has large, glossy, pinnate green leaves. This fast-growing, hardy vine needs to be trained by placing tutors in its pot.
The Swiss Cheese Plant is quite sculptural and is often used to decorate rooms such as entrance halls, living rooms, offices or even conservatories.
Looking after advice:
It is best to place your Monstera in a light room.
- However, avoid direct contact with sunlight so it does not burn the foliage.
- The Swiss Cheese Plant can be placed on a terrace when the outdoor temperatures allow it.
- Water moderately in winter, usually when the soil has slightly dried out (after one or two weeks)
- Fog the foliage regularly, mainly in summer.
