    Characteristics and uses:
The Violet 'Mrs Pinehurst' is a superb Violet which has single, violet and slightly scented flowers. It blooms from February to May.
In the Middle age, the Sweet Violet was considered as being aphrodisiac. The flowers were placed mixed in with Lavender's flowers, inside pillows.
Violets bring in a touch of romanticism planted at the front of the flowering border, in flowering beds or in containers. They can also be used as ground-covering plants as they do have the advantage of propagating by themselves. They do not require any particular care.
