    Properties and uses:
The Hibiscus Sabdariffa - also known as Roselle - is an annual shrub which produces quantities of pink flowers with a crimson heart. Once dried, you can infuse the flowers in boiling water, then add a little sugar to produce a drink called "Bissap" which is famous for its antioxidant quality.
The Roselle's leaves can also be eaten fresh or baked, and their taste is close to the sorrel's.
Plant this Hibiscus preferably in spring; in full ground in warm or hot regions, or in pots in colder regions. Winter the plant or protect it from the cold if left outside.
