  • Adult sizes: Height up to 1.5 m, spread up to 1.5 m.
    Foliage: Evergreen.
    Type of soil: Sensitive to chalky soil and excessively wet soils. Bring in some heath peat to avoid a too compacted soil.
    Climate: Hardy to -20°C.
    Site: Partial shade.


    Characteristics and uses:
    The Hybrid Rhododendron 'Goldkrone' has received the prestigious Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural society. This Rhododendron bears crimson-speckled, yellow flowers in May-June. It thrives planted in acid soil with other heath peat-loving plants or in a tub placed on a terrace or a balcony.
