Pluot ‘Dapple Dandy’ is an unusual fruit tree, hybrid between an apricot and a plum!
The fruit resembles a plum with its smooth, thin skin and juicy flesh, and an apricot with its sweet, savoury taste.
Pluot is a self-fertile fruit tree. The fruits are ripe in August and perfect for eating fresh off the tree, in pastries or jam.
A yearly pruning gives space to the tree’s inner branches. Watering is necessary in dry weather, mainly during the first year. Add fertilizer regularly.
