Pluot 'Aprimira' is an unusual fruit tree, hybrid between an 'Orangered' apricot and a 'Mirabelle' plum!
The fruit resembles an apricot with its taste and yellow-orangey colour of the skin. The firm flesh is sweet and juicy. And it resembles the plum with its size and smooth, thin skin and juicy flesh.
Pluot is a self-fertile fruit tree. The fruits are ripe in August and perfect for eating fresh off the tree, in pastries or jam.
A yearly pruning gives space to the tree's inner branches. Watering is necessary in dry weather, mainly during the first year. Add fertilizer regularly.
