In Canada the Jack pine is mainly grown for its wood. Irregular furrows mark its reddish brown bark and its needles are pale green to yellow in colour. Its cones can last for up to 15 years. This medium sized pine has a conical shape and would be ideal in a large garden, grown either as a specimen or in a small group. Its wood is used for construction and wood pulp. - Related Categories
