Properties and uses:
The Gomphostigma virgatum is an arching shrub with fine silvery-green foliage.
Its slightly fragrant blossom appears from March to October in a multitude of clusters of white, star-shaped flowers.
Although originally this shrub grows along riverbanks, it tolerates drought and sea spray.
Therefore it can be grown in flowering beds, in hedges or on its own as a specimen shrub. It needs pruning at the end of winter in order to increase its blossoming. - Related Categories
