    Properties and uses:
The Mountain Pepper or Litsea, is a plant with numerous medicinal properties. It is still seldom used in Europe, whereas in Asia, they often use the essential oil from the seeds and the infusion of the leaves as medicine.
The Mountain Pepper is a fast-growing dioecious shrub (the male and female reproductive organs are in separate individuals).
The fragrant flowers appear in spring, and the black, round waxy berries ripen from July to September.
