The Himalayan Maple is one of the rare Maples with evergreen foliage. It will only lose its leaves in a very harsh winter. Its young, lance-shaped leaves are pinkish-red at first becoming olive green next, and they take on beautiful pinkish-yellow to reddish-yellow tints. Its bark is smooth, olive green with brown veins.
