This Californian Lilac is not a demanding bush and its maintenance is easy.
Blooming from summer through fall, according to the genus, the bush is covered with fluffy panicles of salmon-pinkish flowers. The light scent of the flowers is a real delight to bees and butterflies.
The foot of the bush will have to be mulched in areas with cold winters.
The Californian Lilac will appreciate the company of any Viburnum or of Summersweet Pink Spire, in a mixed hedge for example. It can also be planted alone, in a pot or in a flowerbed.
There are several genus:
- Pink Californian Lilac 'Marie Simon': height 1.5m, blooming from July to September
- Pink Californian Lilac 'Perle Rose': height from 1 to 2 m, early blooming
- Pink Californian Lilac Marie Rose 'Minmarose': obtained at Minier, height 1.5 m, blooming from June to October
