A variety resistant to cold and drought, easy to grow in any region.
Makes small, compact, round heads, with dark green leaves tinged of red.
Particularly adapted to winter crop, the heads forming quickly in late winter.
Type of soil: Any soil
Sowing time: From March to May. It is important to spread the sowing, so the lettuces are not all ready at the same time.
Harvest time: From August to September.
Site: Full sun.
Sow directly into the ground:
- Lettuce seeds are not sensitive to the cold.
- Sow in rows, cover with a thin layer of compost and water using a fine spray.
- After the plants come through they should be thinned to about one plant every 20cm.
Care:
- Water them abundantly if there is a lack of rain.
- Put straw around them.
- Harvest the lettuce as required once they are properly formed.
