Properties and uses:
Among the hellebores, the oriental Christmas roses offer without doubt the greatest choice of colours and forms. By planting them around the base of your evergreen shrubs you will be able to create a carpet of winter colour.
Flowering should begin around the middle of winter and carry on until the spring time as long as the autumn and winter are sufficiently cold.
In the coldest regions they can be planted in a sunny position, however generally the Christmas rose prefers a shady position.
