The Purple Laurustinus is a shrub with dark green leaves. The new growth is tinted reddish-purple, which reminds of the Photinia Fraseri 'Red Robin'.
Numerous clusters of apiarian white flowers cover the shrub from November till April. Very decorative blueish berries appear in August and stay through late autumn.
This shrub is excellent when used alone or in a hedge.
