    Characteristics and uses:
    The decorative Dahlia 'Tartan' is covered with crimson and white dropping pompoms from July right through to the first frosts.

    The dormant tubers are planted out in the spring, from February to end of May, and offer you a display of magnificent flowers from the summer through to the first frosts.
    Dahlias like to be watered when it is hot, their roots kept in the shade and their heads in the sun.

    Dead-heading on a regular basis will promote the apparition of new blooms and staking is a must for the tallest varieties.
