Geographical origin: China, Japan.
Adult Dimensions: Height up to 60 cm. spread up to 60cm.
Foliage: Deciduous.
Type of soil: Humid to soaked, rich. Ideal grown near water spots. Sensitive to excessive lime and chalk.
Climate: Hardy up to -15°C.
Site: Partial shade to full sun.

Characteristics and uses:
The white Japanese Iris bears large, pure white flowers with lemon-yellow throats.
The Japanese water Iris thrives in a moist to wet soil. It can be planted along the edges of a pond of stream. From June to August, it adorns big, highly coloured flowers which open flat. Cut the flowering stalks at the end of blossom and clean the clump at the end of winter. - Related Categories
