    Foliage: Deciduous.
    Type of soil: Rich, moist and well-drained.
    Climate: Hardy up to -25°C.
    Site: Partial shade to full sun.


    Characteristics and uses:
    The Stewartia is a small, slow growing tree. Its serrated, dark green foliage takes on orange to purplish-red tints in the autumn. It blossoms in July-August. Its flowers are white with a yellow centre. On the old wood, the bark exfoliates and let appear brown-red and beige tints.
    Planted on its own or in a flowering bed, the Stewartia will amaze you in all seasons!
