Idesia polycarpa is a spectacular tree native to Asia. In Autumn, the green foliage turns yellow. The leaves are held on reddish stems. Many small, fragrant, melliferous, yellow flowers bloom in summer, followed by clusters of red berries which persist into winter. This tree is unusual and quite decorative thanks to its open, branching habit, foliage, and flowering.
It is recommended to plant two trees, as a male and female tree are needed to obtain flowers and berries.
