Properties and uses:
Agastache foeniculum, commonly called Blue Giant Hyssop, Anise Hyssop or Lavender Giant Hyssop, is an aromatic and ornamental perennial that can be planted in flowerbeds, borders, pots or rock gardens.
Agastache foeniculum’s unique blooming is long and spectacular, from summer until first frost. Its name come from the strong anise-scented leaves and flowers, which are used in cooking. The strong anise scent is similar to both anise and liquorice. This plant is highly melliferous and attracts bees, butterflies and other pollinators, which helps balancing the ecosystem of your garden. Anise Hyssop is tolerant of drought and only needs a little maintenance. Once settled, it reseeds itself from one year to the next.
