The Hosta 'Guacamole' is a perennial plant with large, shiny, golden-yellow leaves with dark green margins. It adorns a multitude of white, scented, trumpet-shaped flowers in June-July.
Not demanding, and with good longevity, Hostas are perfect used as ground covering plants, as long as they are planted in moist soils and in shady areas. The Hosta 'Guacamole' withstands easily direct sunlight during the day.
In the spring, mulch the soil with a mix of vegetal mulch and compost. In summer, cut down the wilted, flowering stems and remove the leaves that have suffered for the best display.
Protect from slugs and snails, as they are fond of its leaves.
