Properties and uses:
The Hosta 'Francee' is a perennial plant with heart-shaped, green leaves with white edges. It adorns a multitude of lavender, trumpet-shaped flowers in June-July.
Not demanding, and with good longevity, Hostas are perfect used as ground covering plants, as long as they are planted in moist soils and in shady areas. The Hosta 'Francee' withstands easily direct sunlight during the day.
In the spring, mulch the soil with a mix of vegetal mulch and compost. In summer, cut down the flowering stems which have wilted and remove the leaves that have suffered for the best display.
This variety is slugs and snails resistant.
