Height at maturity: Approx 2m (6.6').
Interest: All year.
Planting distance: Approximately every 1.5m (4.9').Although when planting a screening hedge of only 1 species we would advise planting every 80cm (31.5"), in the case of a mixed flowering hedge we are looking for each plant to grow without competing with its neighbour and give its best.
Pruning: A light pruning with shears after flowering is better. Blossoms will be even more beautiful.

Principles:
One has to see the "flowering hedge" or "4 season's hedge" like a painting canvas. As the succession of the seasons goes on, the painting changes, the colours and the scents vary. It must be a permanently interesting display.

Find each plant's specification:
• Abelia grandiflora, beautiful pale pink- white blossom throughout summer
• Border Forsythia (Forsythia intermedia), early golden yellow blossom
• Buddleia (Buddleia Davidii) 'Nanho purple', abundant and fragrant blossom from July through to October, highly attractive to butterflies
• Heavenly Bamboo (Nandina domestica), beautiful white blossom throughout spring and summer, followed by extremely decorative red berries
• Laurustinus (Viburnum tinus), white blossom from November through to April, followed by bluish-black berries
• Milkflower Cotoneaster (Cotoneaster lacteus), white blossom in June-July, followed by red berries in October
• Weigelia Bristol Ruby (Weigelia florida 'Bristol Ruby'), abundant blossom of carmine red bell shaped flowers throughout summer
• Variegated Pink Weigelia (Weigelia florida 'Variegata'), abundant blossom of pink bell shaped flowers throughout summer
