Characteristics and uses:
This vine belongs to the Kiwi family and is most appreciated by everyone. The small fruit also referred to as Siberian kiwi or Baby kiwi provides as much vitamin C as its big cousin the Kiwi. The pink skin is smooth so it can be eaten without being peeled, the yellow flesh is tender and sweet and tastes like pineapple. It is a hardy variety and the fruit is harvested at the beginning of autumn.
The Hardy Kiwi Bingo – Actinidia arguta Bingo – is a non-self-fertile female tree so it is recommended to plant at least one male tree nearby, such as the Hardy Kiwi Weiki.
Plant the Hardy Kiwi along a fence, or on a wall with a trellis, preferably in a place where you can enjoy its spring fragrance and autumn fruit production.
Plant them now: the shortest way to your plate is through your garden! - Related Categories
