Characteristics and uses:
This vining cultivar of the hardy kiwifruit is quite popular! In spring, the flowers fill the garden with their fragrance. They give way to bunches of delicious small fruit with a sweet pineapple taste. This small fruit can be harvested in autumn and contains as much vitamin C as its big cousin, the kiwi.
The Grape Kiwi – Actinidia arguta Ananasnaya– has only female flowers and is not self-fertile, so it needs a mate, such as the Hardy Kiwi Weiki.
Plant the Grape Kiwi along a wire fence or a wall with a trellis, preferably near a place where you come and go, so you can enjoy the flowers’ fragrance in spring and the fruit in autumn.
Plant them now: the shortest way to your plate is through your garden! - Related Categories
