  • Description
  • The raised vegetable plot Growcamp is equipped with a protecting net and a plastic covering sheet. It is ideal for growing vegetables and greenhouse plants. The fact that it is raised, allows you to work properly and without tiring yourself, regardless of age...

In the raised vegetable plot, the soil is looser (as non- compacted) and keeps its humidity which encourages the development of earth worms and essential micro-organisms which contribute to the preservation of the good structure of the soil for years to come.

The plant's roots develop downwards more easily, as opposed to sideways, thus allowing you to get the plants closer together and increase your harvest.

Opened at the top, your vegetable plot will get rid of excess water more easily.

    Dimensions and materials:
    - The basic growcamp module measures 120 x 120 cm.
    - The additional modules, measure 120 x 120 cm each.
    - You can assemble the modules to reach a total length of 240, 360, 480 cm or even more.

    - The structural base measures 30 cm in height
    - The upper framework measures 100 cm, and clicks on and locks in place

    Total height: 130 cm.

The profiles, in rigid plastic are 25 mm thick and treated against UV and resist bad weather conditions.
Of a robust construction, the structure is able to resist violent winds.

    Compost:
    Quantity of compost per module (120 x 120 cm) = 650 liters
Approximately 13 x 50 l bags (depending on the consistency).

You can use a soil that is rich in clay, with good water retention capacity, up to approximately the middle point, then complete with horticultural compost, enriched with manure and peat.

It is also possible to choose Galvanised steel planter of 50 litres. (see below accessories)

    Cover:
    The GrowCamp has plastic gables.
The sides are constructed with a net against pests and a plastic film on the outside.

The protecting net has the advantage of filtering strong sun light, cutting the wind and protecting against heavy rain.

The structure of the net lets in 90% of the rainwater, slowly resulting in a soft natural watering which allows the obtaining of beautiful and deliciously crunchy vegetables.

The covering plastic film protects against the cold and light frost thus producing a greenhouse effect, extending considerably the length of the growing period.

The ventilation can be regulated, thanks to the flexibility of the plastic film sides. These can be rolled up to let cool wind circulate when the weather is hot.

Velcro bands have been added on the sides and at the bottom of the net and the plastic film thus allowing easy handling (opening/closing).

    Site:
Your raised GrowCamp vegetable plot can be sited anywhere, garden, terrace, etc... just make sure that the floor is level and stable before positioning the raised vegetable plot.
The raised structure must be placed in a good sunny position that benefits from natural light.

When the garden lay out allows it, the advice is to set up the GrowCamp with the gable ends pointing East/West. This way, the side nets will be South facing and will protect the plants against sun light.

If you own several raised structures, the ideal separation between them is 100-120 cm. Nevertheless, it is possible to reduce the distance between them down to 60 cm.
