Properties and uses:
The Flowering Plum, sometimes called Flowering Almond, is a shrubby cherry with magnificent pompom-shaped pink flowers blooming from February to April in zones with a mild weather, and from March to April in zones with a hardier weather. The flowers appear before the leaves and announce the return of the sunny days. It is a compact shrub and it won't grow taller than 1.50 m, which makes it easy to plant in any types of garden. Although easy to grow, we recommend you protect it against frost before and during blooming.
