Properties and uses:
The Flannel Bush 'California Glory' is a tall shrub with rapid growth, drought and sea spray resistant.
It blossoms takes place in May-June; the shrub is covered with a multitude of big golden-yellow flowers of 5cm in diameter.
Its dark green and creamy foliage on the top, pubescent and potentially irritant on the underneath remains on the shrub during winter if the shrub is placed against a wall, protected from wind.
Its root system not very developed means that it needs supporting during the first years after planting. The Flannel bush 'California Glory' is melliferous, so is therefore liked for the creation of country-styled /wooded hedges. It is also great grown on its on as a specimen. - Related Categories
