/- Generous and Melliferous Flowering: From the beginning of summer, it is covered in a multitude of small red bell-shaped flowers highly favored by bees.
- Evergreen and Glossy: Its foliage consists of small, leathery leaves of a lustrous green. It remains dense year-round, making it ideal for privacy screening.
- Subtle Fragrance: Its leaves release a light spicy and resinous scent, particularly pleasant after rain or in the summer heat.
- Highly Resistant: Especially suited for coastal gardens, it fears neither sea spray, wind, nor urban pollution.
Often used to create an evergreen hedge, Escallonia macrantha can also be used as a standalone specimen, in a shrubbery, or even in planters to visually shield a terrace or balcony.
