Properties and uses:
The edible Honeysuckle Haskap is a close cousin of the Blue-berried Honeysuckle. Highly cold-resistant, it produces small oblong, blue fruits which have a taste reminiscent of the Blueberry flavour. They are rich in vitamin C and B and are eaten either fresh or in jellies. The variety Kapu is erect, with a vigorous growth and offers good output.
The variety Tana is less vigorous than the variety Kanu but it offers better output.
For a good pollination, it is recommended to plant two species side by side.
