Geographical origin: United States, Hybrid between the Distylium myricoides and the Distylium racemosus.
Adult size: Height up to 100 cm, spread up to 150cm
Foliage: Evergreen
Type of soil: Deep, humus-rich, preferably moist and well drained

Site: Partial shade to full sun
Properties and uses:
The Distylium ‘Blue Cascade’ is a small shrub with unusual waterfall effect shape and an arched, in tiers frame.
Its evergreen foliage, bronze colour in the spring then emerald green with blue hints during the rest of the year brings in a touch of originality to your garden.
Grapes of axillary red buds appear as from March from which delicate, small white flowers emerge.
It is an extremely hardy, disease and drought resistant shrub once reaching its adult size.
