  • Description
  • Area of origin: Mexico, Central America.
    Adult size: approx. 100 cm.
    Foliage: Deciduous.
    Soil type: Moist and rich.
Hardiness: Not hardy (lift the tubers out in winter).
    Exposure: Full sun.

    Characteristics and uses:
The decorative Dahlia 'Arabian Night' adorns superb, dark red nearly black flowers from June right through to the first frosts. It is ideal in flowering beds grown with plants of similar or paler shades.

The dormant tubers are planted out in the spring, from February to end of May, and offer you a display of magnificent flowers from the summer through to the first frosts.
Dahlias like to be watered when it is hot, their roots kept in the shade and their heads in the sun.

Dead-heading on a regular basis will promote the apparition of new blooms and staking is a must for the tallest varieties.
