Properties and uses:
The Columbine 'Kristall' (Aquilegia) is a must-have perennial for shady areas of the garden. With its brilliant white flowers and graceful silhouette, it beautifies your beds and borders throughout the spring. A variety that is both simple to grow and highly elegant.
- Natural elegance: Its pure white flowers topped with long spurs instantly illuminate partially shaded areas and contrast beautifully with darker-foliage plants (such as heucheras or hostas). Its light and finely cut bluish-green foliage brings a very modern touch.
- Trouble-free plant: Highly hardy and low-maintenance, it thrives in almost any moist, well-drained soil. It self-seeds naturally by dropping its seeds in late summer, ensuring its presence year after year.
