Properties and uses:
Clematis tangutica, commonly known as Golden Clematis or Golden Bell Clematis, distinguishes itself by its vigorous growth and its unusual bright flowering. The small (3 to 6 cm in diameter), nodding, bell-shaped, golden-yellow flowers bloom abundantly from June to September. They are followed by fuzzy and feathery, silvery seed heads, prolonging the decorative appeal of the plant well after autumn.
It is perfect to cover fences, walls or pergolas, and its vigour makes it an excellent ground cover, too.
You may play with contrasts and mix it with blue or purple-flowered clematis, for instance. -
