    Hardiness: Not very hardy, the root does not survive below temperatures of 3°C.

    Properties and uses:
    The 'Fireworks' Chinese fountain grass is the ornamental grass to have in your garden or on your balcony! You can plant it directly into the ground, or in a colourful 'design' container to enhance its dramatic foliage.
    The 'Fireworks' Chinese fountain grass has a beautiful crimson and pink foliage. Its inflorescences, on spikes, are crimson and silky. This Pennisetum is an explosion of colours, like a permanent fireworks display!
    Its only fault being its lack of hardiness, it is best grown as an annual, bring it indoors if grown in a pot, or cover its roots (during the coldest spells of winter) with a thick layer of mulch, only in areas with mild winter.
    We also advise you to cut back its foliage as soon as it is dry, otherwise at the end of winter.
