Type of soil: Moist, rich and light.
Sowing time: March to September.
Harvest time: June to December.
Site: Partial shade to full sun. Avoid placing in full sun for long periods during the summer.
Sow directly in the ground:
Trace a furrow that is 1cm deep and place the seeds along the bottom spacing them out. Make a sowing every 15 days to ensure a regular supply.
Care:
Weed and water regularly. To harvest cut the stems down to ground level roughly a month and a half after sowing. The hotter the weather the quicker the Chervil will flower. Chervil is no longer edible once the flowers appear that is why regular repeat sowings are needed.
In regions with mild winters, Chervil can even be grown in winter. - Related Categories
