Very ancient, early, and hardy variety.
Adapted to autumn sowing in a cold frame, for early spring harvest.
The root is thin and coreless.
Its pulp is red, tender, juicy, of excellent quality and very tasty.
Type of soil: Deep, rich, and light. Preferably sandy.
Sowing time: From October to November in cold frame. From February to April directly outdoor.
Harvest time: From May to August.
Site: Full sun.
Sow directly into the ground:
- Sow in rows 1 cm deep and 20 cm apart. Cover with sand or light soil.
- Thin out one month after growth, keeping one seedling every 3 cm.
- Protect the young seedlings from the cold.
