Cardamom is an exotic herbaceous perennial plant, well appreciated for both its aspect and its aromatic qualities.
It is mostly used as a spice, as whole pods (seeds) or ground. It has a strong pungent flavor with hints of lemon and pepper. It is used in rice dishes, or in desserts such as gingerbread, or simply in hot beverages such as tea.
Apart from its use in cooking, the cardamom is also useful for its medicinal and digestive vertues.
