The Bugle Lily is a bulbous, perennial, highly graphical plant from the Lily's family.
It forms a clump of flat leaves and in it centre a long flowering stalk covered in buds appear at the beginning of spring.
The ears flower from the bottom to the top from April to July and give a quasi-endless choice of colours thanks to the 50 different varieties available.
The Watsonia can be grown in flowering beds or in rockeries on the coastline, but it needs to be planted in pots in cold winter's areas.
