To be grown in a pot or as an epiphytic.
Looking after advice:
The Aechmea thrives in light, bright spots, but not exposed to direct sun rays which can burn its foliage.
Very easy to grow, a light watering once a month, or once every two month is enough. It is also recommended to fill in the centre of the rosette regularly with distilled water.
What to do after blossom is over ?
Unfortunately, your Aechmea dies after flowering. But put your mind at rest, it generally leaves behind one or several rosettes which, once potted, blossom again two to three years later provided they get suitable care, warmth and good sunlight.
