The Hybrid berry ‘Tayberry’ stem from a cross between a raspberry bush and a (wild bramble) blackberry. Its produces rather large, blackish-red fruits which can measure as much as 5cm in length, reaching maturity from mid-June to July. These tasty fruits have a taste halfway between a raspberry and a wild blackberry. More flavoursome when harvested fully mature, these fruits are either eaten fresh or in jams.
The Tayberry ‘Buckingham’ is highly productive and almost thornless. It is an easy plant to grow. It has creeping stems that can be trained onto a support to facilitate harvesting.
