Properties and uses:
The Darwin’s Barberry is a vigorous, thorny shrub which has evergreen, glossy green foliage.
As from April, this Berberis starts blossoming in hanging grapes of yellow flowers. A new bloom is possible in August/October. Small blueish fruits appear after blossoming.
Please note that the fruits which are not fully ripe are toxic.
Decorative thanks to its foliage, its flowers and its fruits, it is best to plant it as a group, in country-style and defensive hedges. - Related Categories
