Properties and uses:
The bamboo Fargesia ‘Wolong’ has a sprawling appearance. The young canes have an unusual waxy coating. The long, thin, dark green leaves may turn yellow with time. They can measure up to 12 cm on an adult specimen.
In warm and sunny regions, make sure to plant it in partial shade, or keep the soil moist with a layer of small mulch, such as pine bark or hemp mulch.
This Fargesia can be planted in a hedge, flower bed or alone. It adapts well to small gardens and grows easily in containers.
