Properties and uses:
The Dwarf Almond 'Almond Me' is a small bush well adapted to growing in pots or containers. This variety is hardy (down to -15°C), fructiferous and self-fertile: one single tree is enough to bear fruit as soon as the second year.
The white blossoming takes place at the end of winter, just before the leaves. From that moment, the young flowers must be protected from the frost which could impact the future fruit production. Make sure you protect them with a winter fleece.
The green almonds can be harvested in June, and put to dry. Then, in September, they can be eaten as a dried fruit.
