Properties and uses:
Phyla nodiflora, commonly known as Lippia and Frogfruit, is an exceptional and hardy ground cover, herbaceous perennial plant which ideally replaces traditional lawn. Not demanding in care, it tolerates foot traffic really well, making it ideal for pathways and borders.
This plant quickly forms a dense, low-growing carpet (height : 1 to 5 cm) of attractive grey green foliage, thanks to its stoloniferous stems that form roots when touching the ground.
From May to September, it produces a spectacular and abundant display of small melliferous flowers, usually pinkish white to pale lilac, which attract bees and other pollinators.
Enjoy a garden that requires minimal watering while remaining both hardy and welcoming to biodiversity. -
